Started on a "chat list,"
March 20, 2003, Rotarians around the world, wanted to do
something different as the war in Iraq broke out.
Being an organization made up of
men and women of many nations and many creeds, a "common
ground" of cooperation to do something meaningful took over
conversations of who was right or who was wrong!
Comfort is found in helping to
heal the ill heart of a child, symbolically healing the heart
of the world as it suffers from one conflict to another.
One can see how people from all
walks of life can work hand in hand to make the world a better
place for the future of the world we live in!
One child at a time!
Joining up with a program that has
saved over 3,000 children world wide is a golden opportunity
for us, "Rotarians On The Internet" (ROTI) to work together in
such a common goal!
Our
first goal:
To raise $5,000.00 US currency to
provide open heart surgery for a needy child from a conflict
region of the world! If we can succeed, to continue adding to
our list of nations, a "ROTI CHILD," a child that we have
"adopted as our own" by saving its precious life!
